It's Been A Long Week

Friday, March 20

Tyler has had a tough week. It had started so good after the chemo treatment but he had a delayed reaction to the treatment. He had to go to the hospital Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and was so sick throwing up. On Wednesday after he returned home from the hospital he went straight to bed. He couldn't get out of bed because he was so weak. Sarah said he was "green". Today at 11:00 he finally starting feeling better and his color was better. The weather is beautiful in Memphis so I hope that helps Tyler feel better. He is scheduled for his last chemo treatment next Tuesday but Sarah wants another week off. She is concerned he will get mucositus again and will have to be hospitalized. She is hoping Tyler's doctor's will agree to wait until April 8Th for his last treatment so the family can come to Louisville for the big "hair event" at Christian Academy. We hope so too!

Charles has been busy this week. He started a new job and the family is thankful for the job. There is a new car dealership opening and Charles was hired to start up the operation. He is hiring, training and running the business. Good luck Charles!!

Tyler received a package of fun stuff this week to cheer him up. His 8Th grade friends sent him a candy poster and funny St. Patrick Day cards. Sarah said they definitely made him laugh. He has crazy friends and one really crazy teacher that loves him a lot! Thank you friends for continuing to send cards and love. May God bless you and keep you!

Stay close! Kim

Hi Tyler! I just read your blog and was so sorry to hear that you have been sick. Actually I just talked to Mrs. Novicki and she said that you might come to Louisville for a visit over Spring Break! Mary Beth, Emily, and Sydney were coming to see you but I heard that you were having company so we will wait for our visit....no worries! We hope you have a wonderful time with your friend and family. If you are able to come to Louisville for a few days let us know because we are NOT going anywhere on Spring break and I know Mary Beth would love to spend some time with you. We will take it a day at a time. We will continue specific prayer for you and your family. You focus on yourself and the girls will see you when you get to Louisville. I'm not sure if you are a Louisville fan but they are only up by 2 at the half. I am a UK fan but it wasn't a good year for them. Mary Beth's dad and I went to Western. Ky. Univ. so we are cheering for them. Who knows what will happen.... after all, it is March Madness! Bless you, Tyler! Mrs. Hickman

Hey Tyler,
I sure hope your having a good day today. I miss you and always pray that you are doing well. I have been playing club soccer again and it has taken so much of my time. We had a tournament in Indy and Cincy the last two weekends. Its hard to keep up with everything. I hope you can come up to Louisville soon. It would be such an awesome treat to get to see you. Everyone misses you so much and we pray for you daily. I always enjoy texting you so when you feel better text me .
Stay strong Tyler!

I can count a million times
People asking me how I
Can praise You with all that
I've gone through
The question just amazes me
Can circumstances possibly
Change who I forever am in You

Maybe since my life was changed
Long before these rainy days
It's never really ever crossed my mind
To turn my back on you, oh Lord
My only shelter from the storm
But instead I draw closer through these times
So I pray

Bring me joy, bring me peace
Bring the chance to be free
Bring me anything that brings
You glory And I know there'll
be days When this life brings me pain
But if that's what it takes to
praise You Jesus, bring the rain

I am yours regardless of the clouds that may
loom above because you are much greater than
my pain you who made a way for me suffering
your destiny so tell me whats a little rain

Holy, holy, holy
Holy, holy, holy
is the lord God almighty
is the lord God almighty
I'm forever singing
--- Jesus Bring the Rain by mercy me
