Tyler surprised everyone by coming to Christian Academy;'s 8th grade crossover yesterday. The family made the trip on Wednesday evening so that Tyler could spend this special day with his closest friends. His classmates hovered around him for pictures and to see and talk to him. Afterwards he and his dad went with the class to brunch. It was a great time for him to see a lot of his friends.
Later that evening Clay had a small group of guys over to celebrate and spend time with Tyler. They had a cook out and just hung out playing music and video games. Tyler was pretty tired and left to go to the Foster's. Jeff and Gina Foster graciously opened their home up fr them to stay at.
Today was another great day with friends. Tyler slept to noon (he was pretty tired after yesterday) and then met some friends at Max and Ermas for lunch. He later went shopping (in his borrowed wheelchair from Southeast) at the Summit.
Charles left early today to go back to Memphis. The rest of the family will stay in Louisville until Monday. We are so excited to see them. It has been great hanging out and spending time with them.
Stay close! Kim

Hi Tyler! I can't tell you how wonderful it was to see you at Crossover! It was indeed a defining moment for all. My gosh....do you have any idea how inspirational you are???? Mary Beth loved visiting with you yesterday....I think you made everybody's day more special than they could ever have imagined....just by being there! We are hoping to see you tomorrow or possibly Sunday before you go back to Memephis on your WONDERFUL vacation that your mom and dad have planned. Of course we don't want to completely wear you out....but everyone has missed you so much....they can't wait to spend time with you. I told Mary Beth that I would be available to help transport any of you all to lunch, movies, ice cream, the park....you just name the time and place. We certainly want you to know that we want what is best for you! We are a phone call away or perhaps this day and age texting seems to be the most popular! If I can help out with your social agenda please let me know....ha! Anyway so glad you got eat lunch with some of your friends and shop at the Summit! It was a beautiful day! Oh and by the way....Mary Beth slept until noon as well...ha ha! She can be such a sleepy head! I hope you have a relaxing evening with your family and hopefully we will see you tomorrow or Sunday....again whatever works best for you. Oh yeah....I almost forgot, Mary Beth has a care package for you so we will definitely get it to you before you leave. God Bless you Tyler and blessings to your family as well! Mrs. Hickman
