Only Week 3

Sarah said last night she can't believe this is only week 3 and there are 27 more weeks to go. They arrived at the hospital yesterday at 9:00 am and Tyler wasn't admitted until last night. Evidently a test wasn't ordered and Tyler had to have that test before the chemo could begin. A wasted day at the hospital? Maybe, but at least Tyler's friend, Tyler, spent it with him. Charles arrived in the early hours of the morning. He brought Tyler a bag of goodies from his frineds. Katherine Magnuson baked them some of her delicious cookies. The wristbands arrive that say: Pray for Tyler". There were gift cards and cards. We even sent Tyler the shirt from Pump It Up that everyone signed. Thanks to all of the Hanson's friends who have been so generous!

If things go well for Tyler this week, he may be able to have his chemo given as an outpatient next week. That means he would go to the hospital for about 4 hours a day and then go home. He would then return the next day. I know that is a lot of driving back and forth to the hospital but it's better than spending the night. Have you ever slept on one of those pull out chairs? Not too comfortable. Hang in there Tyler because God is on your side. We love you and miss you. Stay close!
