After 4 days in Louisville, Tyler and his family headed back to Memphis today. I am thankful that his best day was Thursday while he was at the fundraiser. The last 3 days he felt very weak, slept a lot and developed sores in his mouth. Yesterday the Hanson's hung out at the Foster's home along with the Novicki's and Finnesands. I know Gina was tired after entertaining all of us for 10 hours. We ate brunch, snacked and then had pizza. The men and some of the kids went golfing and the girls watched a chick flick. The rest of the boys played video games and Tyler slept. Tyler got to go to the golf course for a couple of holes before he had to come home. Tyler would love to learn how to play golf so when he is feeling better and the weather is cooler, his friends plan to take him.
Tomorrow Tyler will be at the hospital all day having tests and blood draws. If his body is strong enough he will start week 5 of chemo. This will be his most difficult week thus far. He will be administered doxorubicin, cisplatin and bevacizumab. Please pray for Tyler's body to be able to handle these drugs.
People have been sharing amazing stories with me about people they know who have cancer and have been through treatment for cancer. They have been very moving and emotional stories. I now have so much more compassion for cancer patients and families that have been through this gruelling process. I now pray for people I don't even know. I don't know how families can deal with something like this without God to lean on. Thank you God that you will never leave or foresake us. You are our strong tower! Be a strong tower for Tyler and his family today!

Hey Tyler,
I enjoyed seeing you at the fundraiser and getting to talk to you before you had to leave for Memphis! Your two little brothers are so adorable (and now I know that they are taking after their older brother!) I was sorry to hear that you werent feeling good while you were here. Your health and well being is most important to me right now. We will have plenty of time later for hot wings, movies, and laughter. I'm praying for you daily and asking God to give you strength through this next round of treatment. You are admired by so many and I hope you know that. :)
