Tyler, A Fingerprint Of God

Friday, July 18

I am ashamed to admit that I forget about God's abilities sometimes. A few weeks ago while planning for the Tyler Run/Walk, we said we would like to raise $10,000. As the race/walk approached I was skeptical that we would have very many attending and we wouldn't raise that much money for the Hanson family. Well the final total of money raised for the Hanson family was: $22,294.04 Isn't God great! Thank you! Thank you!

There are a few that need to be thanked: First and for most, our God. He had his hand in this entire event and we felt his blessings from the beginning until the end. Second, Christian Academy for allowing us to have this event there. Third, the planning commitee: Jill Finnesand, Karen Aroh, Lisa Hobbs, Kellie Sheryak, Gina Foster and Melissa Bowen. Forth, Doug Finnesand and Waffle House, Jeff Foster and Enterprise Rent-A-Car, Dr. Tran Orthodontics, Oxmoor Toyota, ValuMarket, Arrow Electric, Judy and Tony Palombino and Tony Boom Bozz, Swags, Eastwood Fire Department, John Sheryak, Lowry Stallings, Derrick Dixon, Gary Beams, Coach Kragthorpe, Cathy Nagy, Marla Highbaugh, Tommy Bloyd, Diane and Stephen Collins, James Heid, Julie Cain, Jamie Marshall, Karl Magnuson, Christian Novicki and so many more I can't list all of the names. Finally I want to thank the many, many people who donated money, donated silent auction items, bought silent auction items, made phone calls, volunteered their time, raced, walked, supported this event in anyway and prayed. It wouldn't have been a success without all of your help and support. We should be proud of how our school came together to show our christian love for a family in need. The family is truly overwhelmed by the generosity and so very thankful!

Tyler had chemo administerd on Tuesday and his body responded amazingly well. On Thursday after having his blood draws, the hospital released Tyler to travel to Louisville. Tyler, Sarah, Elijah and Christian arrived around 7:00 p.m. to surprise dad (Charles)and all of his friends at the race. Another blessing from God!

Enjoy some pictures taken at the race. Thank you again! God Bless!
Kim

Tyler,
It was our privilege to be a part of the run/walk activities. You are a wonderful young man and a fine student. What a blessing it was to be able to see you at the event. Stay strong and eat plenty of Doritos. You'll be in our thoughts and prayers all the time.
